About us.

Art 4 Humanity Creative Collective is grounded in a life shaped by movement, faith, and a profound commitment to creation. â€‹Art 4 Humanity has grown into both a creative practice and a philosophical stance. Anne Geraghty, creative Director, has spent many years instilling into her children and grandchildren that creation is inseparable from service. Her life and work have been formed through encounters with her family, friends, religious associations, First Nations communities, the homeless, the sick, people at the end of life, those living with disability and people within the prison system. Through these relationships, creation became not an abstract pursuit, but a response to human vulnerability. Art was understood as an act of presence, dignity, and compassion, shaped by listening as much as by making.

Anne has taught that a life devoted to creation requires sacrifice, patience, and trust. Creation asks us to give of ourselves, often without certainty or recognition. Yet within that sacrifice lies a powerful gift. Each act of making carries the possibility of healing, growth, and continual rebirth, leaving a legacy that extends far beyond the moment of its creation.

As an Australian collective, Art 4 Humanity acknowledges and honours the enduring presence, wisdom, and cultural authority of First Nations communities. We recognise that the land we walk on is storied and sacred, alive with memory and meaning. This understanding informs our work deeply, reminding us that creation carries responsibility, and that listening to Country and respecting its custodians is fundamental to any authentic creative expression.

Our work is deeply informed by spiritual and religious traditions, particularly those rooted in Christian theology and sacred narrative. Themes of pilgrimage, divine encounter, humility, devotion, and revelation run through our practice. Bread shared, roads walked, prayers offered, and light revealed become visual meditations on faith lived in the world. These works are not declarations of doctrine, but invitations to contemplation, connection, and recognition of the sacred woven through everyday life.

At the heart of Art 4 Humanity Creative Collective is the conviction that all people are intrinsically connected. Each person carries a gift, and with that gift comes a responsibility to contribute to the flourishing of others. Through art, we seek to transcend boundaries of culture, geography, and belief, allowing creativity to become a conduit for unity, compassion, and transformation.

Art 4 Humanity exists to affirm creation as a sacred and necessary act. We believe that making is not optional, but essential to the healing and flourishing of both people and place. Through art, we bear witness to faith, memory, and responsibility, honouring the land, the stories, and the spiritual inheritance entrusted to us. When we choose to create with intention, humility, and courage, we do more than express ourselves. We participate in restoration, we give voice to the unseen, and we carry light forward. Even with little, we can offer something enduring, leaving behind a legacy that transcends time, culture, and circumstance.

Biography of Exhibitors.

ANNE GERAGHTY

Born in Adelaide, Anne Geraghty first discovered art by using spare bricks from her grandfather, painting watery shapes across the concrete. The textures, tones, and patterns of those experiences became her earliest canvas, sparking a lifelong sensitivity to the poetry of materials and the way memory can live within form. Her journey has carried her far beyond the city, into the heart of remote communities along the Daly River. There, Anne was welcomed into rich encounters with Indigenous cultures whose stories, colours, and traditions offered her a deeper understanding of art as a vessel of community and spirit. This experience profoundly shaped her vision, grounding her practice in respect, listening, and connection. Anne’s work moves between painting, pottery, and poetry, each medium offering a different language for her inner landscapes.

Anne's palette is vibrant, echoing her love of nature, fresh air, and the vitality of people and places. She sees colour as both energy and emotion, a bridge that unites cultures and hearts. Outside of her creative practice, Anne dedicates herself to serving others, finding joy and meaning in acts of care and contribution. This service is not separate from her art but entwined with it, infusing her work with warmth, generosity, and compassion.

Through her creations, Anne invites us to pause, to see the world with tenderness, and to recognise the beauty woven into the everyday, a beauty that has been her companion since childhood bricks first told her their quiet stories.
