She sat quietly at the edge of the road, as though the world itself had paused in reverence.
In her lap rested a basket of bread, round and radiant, each piece glowing softly as if touched by heaven. She did not clutch it, nor did she count what she carried. She simply held it with calm assurance, as one who trusts that what is given will always be enough. Her stillness spoke of deep knowing, of a faith shaped not by fear but by surrender.
Her garments shimmered with intricate patterns, woven with gold and sacred geometry. They caught the light with every breath she took, reflecting not wealth, but meaning. The gold did not belong to her. It flowed through her, as if she were a vessel chosen to carry something far greater than herself.
This was From the First Born: The Journey.
Behind her stretched a world of roads and houses, painted in rich detail. They were beautiful, full of promise and comfort, symbols of stability and earthly security. Many would have chosen to remain there, to build their lives among those structures. But she had passed through them, not in rejection, but in understanding. She had learned that safety does not always equal fulfillment, and that comfort does not always nourish the soul.
The road behind her curved gently into the distance, winding forward without certainty. It was not a road marked by ease, but by trust. A path walked not with possession, but with faith. She had chosen it willingly, knowing it would ask more of her than she could see.
Above her, the sky opened in light.
A great star burned overhead, radiant and alive, its golden glow pouring down in quiet abundance. It echoed the star of Bethlehem, the beginning of the great promise, the sign that heaven had once stepped into the world in humility and love. From that star flowed a stream of white circles, drifting downward like grace itself, settling into her basket, into her hands, into her life.
She did not look up in wonder.
She already knew where her sustenance came from.
Around her, the land breathed with life. Trees stretched upward, their branches laced with gold, reaching toward the same light that guided her path. The world itself seemed to lean heavenward, as though creation remembered its source.
The bread she carried was not ordinary. It was the bread of heaven. The nourishment of trust. The quiet miracle of provision given day by day. She did not hoard it. She did not fear its absence. She believed in the One who had provided it from the beginning.
The houses behind her promised comfort.
The road before her promised uncertainty.
The light above promised faithfulness. And so she remained seated in peace, grounded and luminous, a living testimony to the truth that sustains all who dare to trust the unseen.
This is From the First Born: The Journey.
A story of choosing faith over fear.
Of walking forward without knowing the end.
Of receiving what is given, and discovering that it is enough.A story not of arrival, but of devotion.
Not of possession, but of trust.
Not of the world’s riches, but of divine provision that never fails.
